Jason served seven years in the U.S. Army followed by one year in the Ohio National Guard, where he was a legal specialist handling a wide array of legal matters including high-profile and precedent-setting criminal cases. Upon leaving military service he began his education while working in various roles in the legal community in the Akron and Cleveland areas, including Common Pleas Court, large and small law firms, and government agencies. He also became licensed to sell life and health insurance, which has given him another perspective to help guide clients with their financial and estate planning decisions.
Since obtaining his law license, Jason has worked as a solo practitioner representing clients in multiple areas including foreclosure and other debtor rights litigation, civil and criminal matters, and estate planning. He has also worked as Immigration Liaison at Case Western Reserve University assisting foreign national students with the requirements to work for the University, and for multiple income tax preparation companies guiding taxpayers with reporting and filing their tax returns.
Jason is the father of three children and resides in Barberton. He loves to cook and bake, which leads to the extensive time he spends in the weight room at the Lake Anna YMCA. He is also an avid motorcyclist, amateur auto mechanic and guitarist.
