Attorney Christy L Wesig Joins Kennedy & Associates

Christy Wesig graduated fourth in her class from University of Akron School of Law in 2012. She served as an Editor of the Akron Law Review from 2010 to 2012. Christy was selected by the faculty to receive the Outstanding Student Award for Community Service and Academic Excellence in 2012.

Christy L. Wesig, born in Berkley, CA and grew up in Concord, CA. Moved to Ohio in 2004. Admitted to the Ohio Bar in 2012. Areas of Practice: Civil and Criminal Litigation, Domestic Relations, Bankruptcy, Tax, and Juvenile. Education: University of Akron (B.A, .English, Summa Cum Laude, 2009); University of Akron (J.D., Summa Cum Laude, 2012). Member: Ohio State Bar Association and Akron Bar Association. Christy Wesig graduated fourth in her class from University of Akron School of Law in 2012. She served as an Editor of the Akron Law Review from 2010 to 2012. Christy was selected by the faculty to receive the Outstanding Student Award for Community Service and Academic Excellence in 2012. She also received the Cali Award for being the top student in Real Property Law class in 2009. Christy placed second at the University of Akron Annual Internal Moot Court Competition in 2011 and represented the University of Akron School of Law at the Prince National Evidence Moot Court Competition in New York City in 2012. Christy was a member of the Scanlon Bell Inn of Court from 2011 to 2013. Prior to joining our firm, Christy worked as a research assistant for Associate Dean Elizabeth Reilly at the University of Akron School of Law and as an intern for Judge Alice Batchelder, Chief Judge for the Sixth Circuit Court of Appeals. She also worked as a law clerk at the Akron office of the firm Vorys, Sater, Seymour, and Pease, LLP and for several other Akron area lawyers. Before law school, she worked as an Administrative Assistant for Kaiser Permanente in Cleveland. Christy has resided in Norton, Ohio with her children since 2005. While not hard at work, Christy can be found reading, skating, or playing games with friends and family. She is a member of Grace Church and volunteers at the Summit County Juvenile Court as a Court Appointed Special Advocate /Guardian Ad Litem.
